

Basic Marinara
Ingredient List
1 jar Store Pasta Sauce* 24-32 ozs
1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
to taste Salt (not too much)

Steps to Prepare

Simply add the jar of sauce and seasonings to container and mix together. If you are going to use it now, mix it in a sauce pot and heat it up to a simmer.

Otherwise, mix it in a bowl, add to a storage container and hold refrigerated.
If using this to make the Veggie Pasta Sauce or the Veggie & Meat Sauce
just start here and keep going with those recipes.

You can use any store basic pasta sauce, so get the cheaper one

Add some water (2-3 Tbsp) to the jar after you empty it to rinse out any leftover sauce

This is a simple but flavorful sauce to use for things like sides of pasta or to add on top of chicken or casseroles

Veggie Pasta Sauce

1 batch The Basic Marinara Sauce (above)
2 cups Vegetables (see note below)
Steps to Prepare

Just add the vegetables (they can be frozen) to the Basic Marinara sauce.

Mix it together with a spoon and heat up if going to use now.
If using this to make the Veggie & Meat Sauce
just start here and keep going with that recipe.

Use at least 2-cups of vegetables, but you can more if you want

The vegetables can be frozen or fresh, just have some that are GREEN!

Veggie & Meat Sauce

1 batch The Veggie Pasta Sauce
2 each Turkey Burgers (leftover and cold)

Steps to Prepare

Breakup by hand or cutup the turkey burgers into medium chunks and add to the the Veggie Pasta Sauce. This can be added cold.

Mix together with a spoon and heat up if going to use now.
If you are going to use the sauce later, just put into a suitable container
and hold refrigerated or you can freeze it

If using frozen turkey burgers, just thaw in microwave so they can be broken up easier
-
You can substitute leftover pulled chicken in place of the turkey burgers

Use 1-cup of pulled chicken to substitute for each turkey burger
